Brandy Coleman, our Broker-in-charge/Property Manager also performs the duties of Office Manager and head reservationist. She began her career with A and W in 2007 as the full time head reservationist (became NC Provisional Broker soon after starting with A and W) and has been such an important part of our company ever since. She continued her education and quickly became a NC Real Estate Broker. Brandy had two years brokerage experience, training under Debbie Apple to take over the Broker-in-charge position, before she was named Broker-in-charge in May of 2010. On the right is a picture of Brandy's children, Taco and Chopper. Taco and Chopper really keep Brandy on her toes when she isn't here at work.
 

We have a full time supervisor of housing, Ann Stout. Ann has been a loyal employee since 2005. She is the person who is responsible for all facets of care for our rental units. She schedules housekeeping and house watch services and inspections after tenant and owner departures, hot tub service by our certified technicians after a departure or interim service between tenant stays. If some time has elapsed since the cleaning inspection, she will make sure the vacation rental home is "spruced up" before the next rental. In addition, Ann oversees the laundry and schedules maintenance for the homes when needed. Ann is always available to our owners to discuss their rental homes, as well as any tenant with a concern or request. She assists Brandy in the office when needed in taking reservations as well as working closely with Debbie and Brandy in setting company policies.

Ann wears another hat in addition to being supervisor of A and W. Her company, Daisy Fresh Cleaning, performs many of the services for A and W. Everyone at A and W loves her husband, Keith Stout. On the right is a picture of Ann's husband Keith at his birthday party holding their pride and joy, Maddie. Maddie is their beautiful Pekingese, who has both of them wrapped around her little paws.

Debbie Apple, President of A and W Mountain Rentals & Realty, Inc. and a NC Real Estate Broker, owned two "rent from owner" chalets on Beech Mountain for five years before opening the company in January of 2003. As a property owner, she understands what is important to a homeowner. A vacation home is not just an investment of money. It is an investment of emotions. She and her staff care for all the vacation rental homes with the same thoroughness that she would use for her own. As Debbie currently is able to take a lesser role in the running of A and W Mountain Rentals thanks to Brandy and Ann, she is able to spend more time with her family and continues to work with A and W Mountain Rentals doing the accounting and consulting with Ann and Brandy.

Debbie is happily married to Ken Apple and their children are Sara, Chris and Carrie. Their grandchildren, Kaylee, Nicholas and Gabriella. Of everything Debbie does, she is the most proud of being a "Nana" to these adorable three.
 

Sharon Meyer, one of our part-time reservationists has been with us since November 2004. Sharon started out with us on a part-time basis, went full-time until she realized that she really wanted to have days off to snow ski (which is her passion) and hike and also needed more time to help her husband, Andy, in his business, Appalachian Termite and Pest Control, Inc. She is now working for us part-time whenever we need her services. Sharon has been invaluable in the set up and updating of our wonderful informative website. Be sure and check out our "Things to do" pages to plan your upcoming trip. She is also the Secretary of the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce and on their Board of Directors.
 

Carrie Mathews, our part–time computer correspondence associate, has been with us since March 2006. Carrie assists Brandy in answering email requests coming in to our company. In addition to answering emails, Carrie assists Brandy with many of the other office duties. Carrie is married to Nick Vadino and her children are Nicholas and Gabriella, who are the center of her world.
