older apple trees are
gone and the remaining
trees serve to accent
the main attractions of
the farm. Home to
adorable animals such as
alpacas, cats, chickens,

miniature donkeys, Apple
Hill Farm is a great
place for children to
tour.
Each Saturday at 2 p.m.
from mid-May to
mid-October, Apple Hill
Farm conducts an
interactive farm tour.
The 1.5 hour guided
walking tour starts at
the horse barn and takes
visitors all the way
around the farm, making
special stops to go
inside the barns and
animal sheds. Tour
guides have specific
knowledge about the
animals and their
personalities and
provide educational
information on the
farm's practices. The
cost to visit and tour
Apple Hill Farm in
Banner Elk NC is $5 for
adults and $3 for
children under 10.
