destination for hikers
in the area as there are
four trails leading from
the lake into wooded
areas of natural beauty.
The Lake Coffey Course
is a ¼ mile loop course
around the lake, ideal
for walking and jogging.
The parking area is also
very close to a
basketball court. Try
out the 2-mile Pond
Creek Trail. Beginning
at Tamarack Road, the
trail follows the creek
past Lake Coffey and
Locust Ridge Road
offering sites of
beautiful small
waterfalls. You can park
at Perry Park and access
the trail at Tamarack
Road or park at Lake
Coffey and complete the
lower section of the
trail. Grassy Gap Creek
Trail stretches 1.2-miles
from Hawthorn
Road to Grassy Gap Creek
Road. Cherry Gap Trail
is an easy 1.4 mile trail at Cherry Gap Road. The trail follows Wild Iris Road.
