Concert starts at 6:30 pm at the stage behind Bank of America on Highway 194. Bring your chairs or blankets and coolers. Food will also be available for purchase at the concert. Raffle tickets can be purchased for prizes as well as for the 50/50 split of the "pot."
The sponsor of this concert is Vivo's. Vivo's is located in downtown Banner Elk on Highway 194. They have an all-day menu featuring casual European selections: Gourmet Panini sandwiches, fresh, unique salads, homemade soups, fresh-baked breads, pastries and desserts, 24 flavors of Artisanal Italian gelato ice cream and sorbetto, and a full European Espresso Bar. They also have a Kids Menu and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Vivo's is also a destination for wine and beer lovers. The Cellar will offer over 20 boutique wines by the glass, and an extensive by the bottle list as well as over 20 Craft Beers by the bottle and 3 Specialty Craft Drafts, not to mention the "Sharing and Pairing" menu which consists of small, tapas-sized portions. The band playing this week is the Johnson Brothers. The Johnson Brothers provide a high-energy family oriented bluegrass show. Alan and Kenny have been playing bluegrass around the High Country for over 25 years. Alan took his musical ability to Nashville and performed with the likes of Lorrie Morgan, Doug Stone, Doyle Lawson, and many others. Alan and Kenny both reside in Avery County and are currently employed with the United States Postal Service.
