Valle Crucis Community Park - Valle Crucis North Carolina

Valle Crucis Community Park

Valle Crucis NC is a charming mountain community located in a beautiful Western North Carolina valley. Valle Crucis derived its name due to the convergence of the Watauga River, Dutch Creek, and Clark's Creek in the valley which creates a perfect St. Andrews cross formation. Filled with unsurpassed scenic beauty, rolling landscapes, high rising mountains, and crystal clear streams, Valle Crucis is a place many never want to leave. Both the Watauga River, which runs along Watauga River Road in Valle Crucis, and the Valle Crucis Community Park are beloved places to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

Watauga River Road runs through Valle Crucis and offers a beautiful stretch of state maintained road that runs directly adjacent to the ancient Watauga River. Without much rain, the Watauga River flows calmly through this historic valley region; however, with heavy rains the river features roaring rapids and fast flowing, rushing waters. Many visitors and residents to Valle Crucis NC love to bike ride down Watauga River Road and take in the sights and sounds of the river. Its serene location provides just the right amount of privacy. Mountain biking in Valle Crucis on Watauga River Road is a very popular activity.
